Lemonade

To me, this outfit embodies summer and gorgeous warm days. My favorite thing to do on a sunny day is to take a book and a glass of lemonade out into the yard and bask in the sun while reading a good novel. Unfortunately, I had to work on the particular day that I wore this outfit, but it brightened up my day a bit to be wearing something so quintessentially summery. Bright yellow, lace, crisp white, and ruffles are some of my favorites this time of year. Somehow sunshine makes me crave lemonade and wearing this fun yellow skirt certainly put that thought in the forefront of my mind all day. What makes things even sweeter? This skirt has pockets!

Right now I am reading The Shoemaker's Wife by Adriana Trigiani, and I really love her writing style. The story is very engaging, and I have a feeling it's about to get romantic! Have you read any good books lately?

ps. I swear to you I steamed this skirt in the morning, but within 15 minutes it was wrinkly again, and only got worse over the day! I think the fabric is just particularly prone to wrinkles, I gave up on even trying :)

Skirt: J. Crew. Top: Lilly Pulitzer. Cardigan: old. Sandals: Splendid. Bangles: Kate Spade

  1. I love your yellow skirt! I hate fabrics that wrinkle to easily! :-( But it still looks great on you.

Please check out my style too! xoxo
