Another grey day in New York City!
Today I'm talking about spring essentials. From those first early warmish days all the way through to the beginning of summer weather there are certain spring staples I rely on. It is always so exciting to be able to bring out the lighter layers and fun colors and put away my winter clothes for good! So here is what I've been living in: ripped cropped jeans (perfect for embracing warmer weather and still keeping your denim game strong), floral prints to really get in the spring spirit, and a light jacket since it's still chilly most days.
This baby pink moto is my favorite spring jacket because it is so versatile and the color is a perfect spring pastel! Cropped jeans are my spring and summer go-to because they show a little more skin and pair perfectly with sandals, flats, or even sneakers. To top it all off, I switched out my big winter handbag for a smaller crossbody to free up my hands for an iced coffee (and probably an umbrella), and I swapped out booties for more seasonal flats.
To dress this look up for the office without losing any of the comfort, swap out the jeans for something a little more tailored like a pair of pants from Betabrand such as the cropped dress pant yoga pants. They are a great option for transitioning seasons, and the cropped style is just what I look for this time of year! I just discovered Betabrand, a fascinating company that creates the opportunity for anyone to have their innovative clothing designs created, crowdfunded, and sold. Check out what they have for spring, or submit your own designs!
